Graduation Reception
Celebrate your achievement with your guests, family and staff at our post-ceremony reception
Join us on campus for a relaxed celebration with refreshments, photo opportunities, and the chance to connect with staff and fellow graduates. The reception is open to graduates and their invited guests, but all attendees must book a ticket in advance.
- Date: Friday 21st November 2025
- Time: Immediately after the Graduation Ceremony, approximately 3:00pm.
- Venue: UHI Orkney (Main Campus), East Road, Kirkwall
- Accessibility: Parking bays on-site, step-free access, accessible toilets
Joining the Celebration
After the Ceremony, the celebrations continue at UHI Orkney’s Main Campus on East Road for the Graduation Reception. It’s a short journey from the Cathedral — about 1 kilometre (10–15 minutes on foot) or just 1–2 minutes by car, with ample parking available. You can find local taxi information here. On arrival, staff will be ready to welcome you and direct you to the reception area. Please remember to bring your tickets, either printed or on your phone, as these will be required for entry.
The Reception usually lasts around an hour and is a wonderful chance to unwind after the formalities of the Ceremony. You’ll have time to mingle with fellow graduands, staff, and guests, raise a glass in celebration, and capture photos with family and friends in a more relaxed setting.
