Seaweed success for archaeology student

Archaeology PhD student Magdalena Blanz

Magdalena Blanz, a PhD student at the university’s Archaeology Institute, won the top prize for her presentation ‘On the difficulties of dating seaweed-eaters’ at the student research conference last month.
 
Magdalena also had the opportunity to present her paper, ‘Seaweed in island economies - what can we learn from the past?’, at the Future Perspectives for Island Society conference in Japan earlier this month.
